Revolutionary Gaming and Web3 Ecosystem Partners with LG Electronics to Enter the Metaverse
The cloud-based technology startup Oorbit and Pixelynx, which is creating an integrated music, gaming, and Web3 ecosystem, have joined forces with South Korean tech giant LG Electronics to bring the metaverse right into viewers’ living rooms.
Customers will find it simpler to interact in the metaverse thanks to the collaboration, which will enable viewers to explore connected virtual worlds, concerts, and AI multiplayer games through their LG TVs.
Users will have access to “super high-fidelity interconnected virtual worlds” and activities, such as artificial intelligence-generated multiplayer games and virtual concerts, according to a press statement issued on January 4.
Pooya Koosha, co-founder and chief technology officer of Oorbit, shared: “Our proprietary technology is the connective tissue that links virtual worlds together and makes it easy for developers and brands to bring their experiences into the metaverse. Scaling our technology for millions of LG TV customers is the next step in making the metaverse accessible for all.”
In December 2022, Los Angeles-based Pixelynx acquired a controlling share from Animoca Brands, a blockchain, gamification, and digital entertainment company.
Additionally, LG Electronics modified its business development objectives in March 2022 to incorporate cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based software. The “development and selling of blockchain-based software” and “the sale and brokerage of cryptocurrency” were added as separate goals by LG during its annual general meeting, according to a South Korean news outlet.
