Popular Rapper and Fashion Designer Kanye West’s filed for NFT and Metaverse Trademarks Applications
Famous rapper, producer, and fashion designer Kanye West’s Mascotte Holdings Inc. has filed 17 trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) which include mentions of potential “non-fungible assets” and “metaverse experiences.”
One of the filings notes the potential for “providing an online marketplace for buyers of crypto and/or digital collectibles, currencies, tokens, and assets.”
West could be planning to mint his non-fungible tokens (NFT), as per 17 new trademark applications recorded around the rapper’s Yeezus alter self. The move recommends the famous rapper might have relaxed his anti-NFT position since freely condemned digital art collectibles recently.
On May 27 West, who officially changed his name to “Ye,” trademark applications for “blockchain-based non-fungible assets,” “ currencies and tokens” and “online retail store services featuring … digital art “ with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
